TORONTO (May 5, 2014) – Despite their heartbreaking loss to the Brooklyn Nets, the Toronto Raptors’ Northern Uprising inspired fans across the nation, as overnight data from BBM Canada confirms the Raptors’ First Round series against the Brooklyn Nets on TSN attracted an average audience of 732,000 viewers, making it the most-watched NBA PLAYOFFS series on record.*
In total, more than 8 million unique viewers tuned in to watch the Raptors battle the Nets in this unforgettable series. Five of the games from the series now rank among the Top 10 audiences in the team’s history.
Yesterday’s Game 7 attracted an average audience of 912,000 viewers to TSN from tip-off to final buzzer – making it the third most-watched Raptors game ever. Audience levels peaked at more than 2 million viewers late in the fourth quarter as the game came down to the Raptors’ thrilling final possession.
The Raptors’ dramatic playoff run continued to captivate viewers in the team’s hometown market, as Game 7 was also the most-watched program of the day in the Greater Toronto Area, and achieved a 33.3% share.

Canadians can continue to follow the NBA PLAYOFFS on Canada’s Sports Leader all the way to the NBA FINALS. Live coverage continues with a doubleheader tomorrow (Tuesday, May 6) with Game 1: Brooklyn @ Miami at 7 p.m. ET on TSN2 and TSN GO followed by Game 1: Portland @ San Antonio at 9:30 p.m. ET on TSN2, TSN GO, and TSN Radio 1050 in Toronto.**
