CTV Programming Highlights: Feb. 14 – 23

As February continues, CTV looks back on the life on of Whitney Houston in ETALK PRESENTS: REMEMBERING WHITNEY. Also, CTV ushers in the 20th season premiere THE AMAZING RACE and the season finale of PAN AM.

Programming Highlights for Feb. 14 – 23 on CTV include:

Tuesday, Feb. 14
1 p.m. – ETALK PRESENTS: REMEMBERING WHITNEY – NEW SPECIAL
This new special features a panel discussion with ETALK’s Tanya Kim, Lainey, Traci Melchor and Jully Black. The women look back at Whitney Houston’s career – the good, the bad and the women she has influenced. ETALK also looks at the circumstances surrounding her untimely death. ETALK PRESENTS: REMEMBERING WHITNEY repeats on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 1:30 p.m. ET on CTV Two.

8 p.m. – WHITNEY – “48 Hours” – NEW EPISODE
After Mark (Dan O'Brien) breaks it off with yet another woman, he shares his personal theory that couples know within 48 hours of meeting if they want to be together. Not surprisingly, everyone agrees that they knew they had met their soul mates within that timeframe except Whitney (Whitney Cummings). Trying to prove her wrong, Alex (Chris D'Elia) takes Whitney on a trip back to 2008 and the night they first met.

8:30 p.m. – HOT IN CLEVELAND – “Dancing Queens” – NEW EPISODE
The ladies decide to go dancing to burn off the Cleveland pounds but need local gay best friends to go with. Meanwhile, Victoria (Wendie Malick) catches Leandro’s (Antonio Sabáto Jr., GENERAL HOSPITAL: NIGHT SHIFT) eye, and Elka (Betty White) dukes it out with an old rival, uncovering a shocking link to her past.

9 p.m. – THE RIVER – “Los Ciegos” – NEW EPISODE
With the exception of AJ (Shaun Parkes), everyone aboard the Magus goes blind due to spores from a tree. AJ must overcome his most paralyzing fear to find a cure before the blindness becomes permanent. Meanwhile, the local Morcego tribe stalks the crew and judges whether they are worthy to stay in the jungle. If they are deemed unworthy, the consequences could be fatal.

10 p.m. – UNFORGETTABLE – “The Following Sea” – NEW EPISODE
When a key witness in his murder case vanishes before testifying, Al (Dylan Walsh) scrambles to find her before the suspect walks free.

Wednesday, Feb. 15
8 p.m. – AMERICAN IDOL – NEW TWO-HOUR EPISODE
After contestants are pushed to their limits in the most intense Hollywood Week in IDOL history, Randy, Jennifer and Steven reveal who they believe have what it takes to be the next AMERICAN IDOL.

10 p.m. – CSI – “Seeing Red” – NEW EPISODE
Following Marg Helgenberger’s exit, Academy Award®-nominee Elisabeth Shue (Leaving Las Vegas) debuts as new character Julie Finlay. As the newest CSI fresh off an anger management course, Julie brings her own drama to the team amid rumours that D.B. Russell (Ted Danson) fired her when she worked for him in Seattle.

Thursday, Feb. 16
8 p.m. – THE BIG BANG THEORY – “The Rothman Disintegration” – NEW EPISODE
When an office at the University opens up, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) must compete for it with his arch enemy, Kripke (John Ross Bowie, CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL). Meanwhile, a gift from Amy (Mayim Bialik) makes Penny (Kaley Cuoco) uncomfortable.

8:30 p.m. – UP ALL NIGHT – “Travel Day” – NEW EPISODE
It's Reagan (Christina Applegate) and Chris (Will Arnett) versus the airport when they travel with baby Amy for the first time. Ava (Maya Rudolph) agrees to be the minister for the wedding of her former band mate Amanda (Canadian GRAMMY Award®-winner Alanis Morissette), and past tensions come back to haunt them. Meanwhile, Kevin (Jason Lee, MY NAME IS EARL) deals with Ava's feelings on marriage.

9 p.m. – GREY’S ANATOMY – “Have You Seen Me Lately?” – NEW EPISODE
Cristina (Sandra Oh) and Owen (Kevin McKidd) engage in heated arguments during marriage counseling, and Alex (Justin Chambers) realizes that in order to be a good doctor, he'll need to improve his people skills. Meanwhile, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) is given a chance to shine when a man enters the ER after getting his hand stuck in a meat grinder.

10 p.m. – THE MENTALIST – “War of the Roses” – NEW EPISODE
A woman (guest star Morena Baccarin, HOMELAND) who Jane (Simon Baker) helped send to prison, now claims to have information on a case the CBI is investigating.

Friday, Feb. 17
8 p.m. – UNDERCOVER BOSS – “Checkers & Rallys” – NEW EPISODE
Rick Silva, President and CEO of Checkers & Rally's, one of the nation's largest fast food chains that serves more than two million hamburgers a week, travels to the front lines of his industry, where he's forced to make a drastic decision regarding one of his restaurants.

10 p.m. – BLUE BLOODS – “Parenthood” – NEW EPISODE
When a man's family is robbed and beaten in front of him, and the assailant is shot and killed, the Reagans debate about how far they would go to protect their family. Meanwhile, when a college student is arrested at a rally, Frank (Tom Selleck) wrestles with her sentence due to her identity

Saturday, Feb. 18
7 p.m. – W5 – “Unfair Advantage” – NEW EPISODE
W5 returns to its annual in-depth investigation of the Canada Revenue Agency, with all-new cases that reveal tax horror stories faced by hard-working, ordinary Canadians when they come up against the taxman. “Unfair Advantage” investigates tax cases from coast-to-coast and finds Canadians who have had their financial well-being shattered at the hand of callous and secretive CRA employees. Also in this episode, W5 heads to Newfoundland for a look at one woman’s efforts to revitalize her homeland of Fogo Island, the struggling fishing community located off the coast of Newfoundland.

Sunday, Feb. 19
7 p.m. – ONCE UPON A TIME – “What Happened to Frederick” – NEW EPISODE
With their love for each other growing stronger, David (Josh Dallas) finally agrees to tell Kathryn (Anastasia Griffith) about his relationship with Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin) and put an end to his loveless marriage. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, runaway groom Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) searches for Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and agrees to aid Abigail (Anastasia Griffith) on a dangerous mission to recover something precious that was lost.

8 p.m. – THE AMAZING RACE – “The Good Wife” – SEASON PREMIERE
This season of the multi-Emmy Award-winning THE AMAZING RACE marks its 20th sprint around the globe. In this turn, teams will travel through five continents and 22 cities and cover nearly 40,000 miles. With the series making first-time visits to remote locations such as Paraguay, Azerbaijan, 11 new teams set out on a race around the globe.

9 p.m. – DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES – “Get Out of My Life” – NEW EPISODE
Susan (Teri Hatcher) discovers the identity of the father of Julie's (Andrea Bowen) baby, and Orson (Kyle MacLachlan) makes it his duty to nurse Bree (Marcia Cross) back to health. Meanwhile, Lynette (Felicity Huffman) is furious when Porter (Charlie Carver) and Preston (Max Carver) are evicted from their apartment and try to move back home.

10 p.m. – PAN AM – “1964” – SEASON FINALE
Life has changed quickly for the crew of Pan Am. In the wake of President Kennedy's assassination and with New Year's Eve approaching, everyone's lives are hurtling towards new starts for 1964. Colette (Karine Vanasse) is caught up in a whirlwind courtship with a foreign prince, and Dean (Mike Vogel) is still kicking himself over losing her. Meanwhile, Amanda (Ashley Greene, Twilight Saga) and Ted's (Michael Mosley) wedding plans are racing forward, thrilling his family, but making him more nervous by the day.

Monday, Feb. 20
8 p.m. – THE VOICE – NEW TWO-HOUR EPISODE
The “blind auditions” continue as the superstar coaches search and pick artists to join their respective teams.

10 p.m. – SMASH – “Enter Mr. DiMaggio” – NEW EPISODE
The search begins for a Joe DiMaggio to play opposite Marilyn, but everyone's first choice, Michael (Will Chase, RESCUE ME), has a secret. Karen (Katharine McPhee) returns to Iowa for a baby shower and must decide what she wants for her future. Meanwhile, Eileen (Anjelica Huston) begins rounding up investors, but ex-husband Jerry (Michael Cristofer, RUBICON) may already have poisoned the well.

Tuesday, Feb. 21
8 p.m. – WHITNEY – “Mad Women” – NEW EPISODE
Trying out a new, shapelier bra, Whitney (Whitney Cummings) gets more than she bargains for when she entices Alex (Chris D'Elia) with her enhanced look. After Roxanne (Rhea Seehorn) calls it quits with Lance (guest star Hayes MacArthur, PERFECT COUPLES), she asks Mark (Dan O'Brien) to help pack up his stuff, but things become complicated when Mark decides to take advantage of the situation.

8:30 p.m. – HOT IN CLEVELAND – “The Emmy Show” – NEW EPISODE
Victoria’s daughter Emmy (guest star Jennifer Love Hewitt, GHOST WHISPERER) visits and Victoria enlists Elka (Betty White) to convince Emmy not to publish a tell-all book about her childhood. Meanwhile, Melanie (Valerie Bertinelli) and Joy (Jane Leeves) meet a secret admirer who bids for one of their hearts.

9 p.m. – THE RIVER – “A Better Man” – NEW EPISODE
As the search continues for Emmet (Bruce Greenwood) and his crew, the Magus comes across one of Emmet's missing crew members. They soon discover that he's been cursed and learn the mystical story behind the curse, which becomes a matter of life and death.

10 p.m. – UNFORGETTABLE – “Heartbreak” – NEW EPISODE
Carrie (Poppy Montgomery) and Al (Dylan Walsh) are at a loss to explain how a murder victim mysteriously appeared in an empty ballpark.

Wednesday, Feb. 22
8 p.m. – AMERICAN IDOL – NEW TWO-HOUR EPISODE
Contestants try one last time to impress the judges, singing for their lives to prove who deserves to make it to the next round. For some, it's the end of the road, but for the first group of semifinalists whose names will be revealed tonight, the next part of the journey is about to begin.

10 p.m. – CSI – “Stealing Home” – NEW EPISODE
When a house is stolen completely off its foundation, the CSIs are on the case in search of answers. Meanwhile, new CSI Julie Finlay (Elisabeth Shue) showcases her skill in blood analysis.

Thursday, Feb. 23
8 p.m. – THE BIG BANG THEORY – “The Werewolf Transformation” – NEW EPISODE
Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) life is turned upside-down after his barber gets sick. Meanwhile, astronaut training causes Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) to rethink his decision to go into space.

8:30 p.m. – UP ALL NIGHT – “First Birthday” – NEW EPISODE
A moment of weakness with his uncomfortably enthusiastic neighbours, leads Chris (Will Arnett) to agree to host a joint first birthday party for Amy, leading Reagan (Christina Applegate) to accuse him of being a pushover. Ava (Maya Rudolph) takes it upon herself to take the birthday party to the next level, while Nancy (guest star Molly Shannon, SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE) sees this as an opportunity to look for a man.

9 p.m. – GREY’S ANATOMY – “If Only You Were Lonely” – NEW EPISODE
As Adele's (Loretta Divine) condition continues to deteriorate, Richard (James Pickens, Jr.) considers altering their living situation. Meanwhile, when Jackson (Jesse Williams) snaps at a patient, Mark (Eric Dane) encourages him to find ways to relieve his stress.

10 p.m. – THE MENTALIST – “His Thoughts Were Red Thoughts” – NEW EPISODE
Jane (Simon Baker) is reunited with his former nemesis, cult leader Bret Stiles (Malcolm McDowell, FRANLIN & BASH), when the head of an anti-cult activist organization is murdered.
