CTV Programming Highlights: May 2–13

CTV kicks off May with the season finales of GCB, THE AMAZING RACE, CASTLE, THE VOICE, CSI, THE BIG BANG THEORY, UNDERCOVER BOSS, BLUE BLOODS, ONCE UPON A TIME and the much-buzzed about series finale of DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES. Plus, ETALK anchor Ben Mulroney co-hosts LIVE! WITH KELLY and new episodes of MISSING, GREY’S ANATOMY, AMERICAN IDOL and TWO AND A HALF MEN continue.

Programming Highlights for May 2-13 on CTV include:

• As the residents agonize over their oral boards, Richard (James Pickens, Jr.) finds out that one of his residents has failed the exams on GREY’S ANATOMY (May 3)
• ETALK’s Ben Mulroney heads to NYC to co-host LIVE! WITH KELLY (May 4)
• The final teams compete for the million dollar prize on the two-hour season finale of THE AMAZING RACE (May 6)
Comedian Sandra Bernhard guest stars on the season finale of GCB (May 6)
• Castle struggles to keep Beckett safe as she hunts down the man who shot her on the season finale of CASTLE (May 7)
• The winner is revealed and Justin Bieber, Daryl Hall & John Oates, Flo Rida and Lady Antebellum perform on the two-hour season finale of THE VOICE (May 8)

Wednesday, May 2
8 p.m. – AMERICAN IDOL – NEW EPISODE – 2 HOURS

With only four performance shows left in the season, the Top 5 – Hollie Cavanagh, Skylar Laine, Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez – return to the IDOL stage to sing for America's votes on a British music-themed performance show.

10 p.m. – CSI – “Dune and Gloom” – NEW EPISODE
When a bomb kills an off-road race truck driver mid-race, the CSI team is called on the scene to investigate.

Thursday, May 3
8 p.m. – THE BIG BANG THEORY – “The Launch Acceleration” – NEW EPISODE

NASA reschedules Howard's (Simon Helberg) mission, putting the wedding plans in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Leonard (Johnny Galecki) says something surprising to Penny (Kaley Cuoco) in the bedroom.

8:30 p.m. – TWO AND A HALF MEN – “Why We Gave Up Women” – NEW EPISODE
After Alan (Jon Cryer) suffers a minor heart attack, Charlie's ghost (Academy Award®-winner Kathy Bates, HARRY’S LAW) pays a visit to his hospital bedside.

9 p.m. – GREY’S ANATOMY – “Let the Bad Times Roll” – NEW EPISODE
As the residents agonize over their oral boards, Catherine (Debbie Allen, Fame) tells Richard (James Pickens, Jr.) that one of his residents has failed the exams. Meanwhile, Julia (Holly Fain, GOSSIP GIRL) asks Mark (Eric Dane) to start a family with her and Arizona's (Jessica Capshaw) close childhood friend comes to Seattle Grace for medical help.

10 p.m. – THE MENTALIST – “So Long, and Thanks for All the Red Snapper” – NEW EPISODE
While investigating the murder of a surfer, Lisbon (Robin Tunney) reconnects with her former fiancé (Kenny Johnson, THE SHIELD), who she hasn't seen in over a decade. Also, Cho (Tim Kang) questions his decision to be in a relationship with Summer (Samaire Armstrong).

Friday, May 4
9 a.m. – LIVE! WITH KELLY – ETALK’S BEN MULRONEY CO-HOSTS
After co-hosting LIVE! WITH KELLY on April 5 from Banff, AB, ETALK anchor Ben Mulroney shares the stage again with LIVE host Kelly Ripa from her new set in New York City. The episode also features special guest Nathan Fillion – star of CTV’s Top 20 hit, CASTLE.

8 p.m. – UNDERCOVER BOSS – “Fastsigns International” – NEW EPISODE
Fastsigns International CEO Catherine Monson goes undercover to examine the inner workings of her company.

9 p.m. – GRIMM – “Happily Ever Aftermath” – NEW EPISODE
Nick (David Giuntoli) and Hank (Russell Hornsby) are called to investigate the mysterious death of a wealthy matriarch, after her stepdaughter loses everything in a Ponzi scheme. Meanwhile, Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) does some digging into the mysterious death of Nick's parents in an effort to help him find closure.

10 p.m. – BLUE BLOODS – “Collateral Damage” – NEW EPISODE
Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Jackie (Jennifer Esposito) investigate the suspicious death of a high-rolling investor who sustained injuries in a fight, yet his hands are unmarked by trauma. Also, Frank (Tom Selleck) places Jamie (Will Estes) under house arrest when the Sanfinos put out a hit on "Jimmy Riordan."

Saturday, May 5
7 p.m. – W5 – “Pull The Plug” and “Goin’ Home”

W5 looks at cases where the families and doctors differ on prolonging patient’s lives. Later, W5 heads to Newfoundland, examining one woman’s efforts to revitalize her homeland of Fogo Island.

Sunday, May 6
7 p.m. – ONCE UPON A TIME – “An Apple Red as Blood” – NEW EPISODE

Henry (Jared Gilmore) pleads with Emma (Jennifer Morrison) to stay in Storybrooke and continue her quest as the saviour of the fairytale dwellers. However, Regina (Lana Parrilla) concocts a plan that could rid her of Emma forever. Back in the fairytale land that was, Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) enlists the aid of her fellow fairytale cohorts to attack the Evil Queen (Parilla) and save Prince Charming's (Josh Dallas) life.

8 p.m. – THE AMAZING RACE – SEASON FINALE – TWO HOURS
The final teams race to the finish line and compete for the million dollar prize on the season finale of THE AMAZING RACE.

10 p.m. – GCB – “Revelation” – SEASON FINALE
When Carlene (Kristin Chenoweth) takes the GCBs down to unincorporated Juarez for the groundbreaking ceremony for the Condos for Christian Living, the GCBs find themselves in danger. Meanwhile Amanda's (Leslie Bibb) suspicions regarding Luke (Eric Winter, THE MENTALIST) lead to a surprising discovery about Ripp (David James Elliott). Comedian Sandra Bernhard (ROSEANNE) guest stars.

Monday, May 7
8 p.m. – THE VOICE – LIVE – 2 HOURS

In the final phase of the competition, the remaining four artists of coaches Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton's teams perform during a live broadcast. One artist from each team will be a step closer to being named THE VOICE.

10 p.m. – CASTLE – “Always” – SEASON FINALE
When the murder of an Army veteran puts Beckett (Stana Katic) on the trail of the man who shot her, Castle (Nathan Fillion) must decide how much he's willing to sacrifice to keep her safe. As secrets are revealed and feelings are put on the table, the lives of the detectives at the 12th Precinct may never be the same.

Tuesday, May 8
8 p.m. – MISSING – “Promise” – NEW EPISODE

Despite emotional tensions escalating, Becca (Ashley Judd) and the two men in her life must work together to flee Europe as the CIA and local police close in on them.

9 p.m. – THE VOICE – LIVE SEASON FINALE – 2 HOURS
Following their final performances, the vocalists learn their fate and the winner of THE VOICE is revealed live! The winning vocalist will win a recording contract, $100,000 prize and bragging rights for their superstar coach and the prestigious title of “The Voice.” Plus, Canadian superstar Justin Bieber, classic duo Daryl Hall & John Oates, rapper Flo Rida and country music fave Lady Antebellum are set to perform.

Wednesday, May 9
8 p.m. – AMERICAN IDOL – NEW EPISODE – 2 HOURS

The Top 4 finalists perform live hoping to impress the judges in order to win America’s votes.

10 p.m. – CSI – “Homecoming” – SEASON FINALE
The CSI team investigates three dead bodies just blocks away from a campaign dinner, they think they know who the killer is before making a shocking discovery. Guest stars include Peri Gilpin (FRASIER) as D.B. Russell's (Ted Danson) wife, Enrique Murciano (WITHOUT A TRACE) as Detective Carlos Moreno, Conor O'Farrell (JUSTIFIED) reprises his role as former Undersheriff Jeffrey McKeen and Jaclyn Smith (CHARLIE’S ANGELS) as Hodges (Wallace Langham) mother.

Thursday, May 10
8 p.m. – THE BIG BANG THEORY – “The Countdown Reflection” – SEASON FINALE
When Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette (Melisa Rauch) decide they want to be married before his NASA launch, the gang rushes to put on a wedding. NASA astronaut Mike Massimino guest stars as himself.

8:30 p.m. – TWO AND A HALF MEN – “The Straw In My Donut Hole” – 200TH EPISODE
Alan (Jon Cryer) is showered with love and affection upon returning from the hospital, but Zoey (Sophie Winkleman) is not so sure it's deserved. Jason Alexander (SEINFELD) guest stars as Alan's cardiologist, Dr. Goodman.

9 p.m. – GREY’S ANATOMY – “Migration” – NEW EPISODE
The residents determine their future as they make their final decisions regarding post residency positions. Meanwhile, Mark (Eric Dane) admits to Derek (Patrick Dempsey) that he is torn between his love for Lexie (Chyler Leigh) and the fact that Julia (Holly Fain, GOSSIP GIRL) can give him everything he's ever wanted.

10 p.m. – THE MENTALIST – “Red Rover, Red Rover” – NEW EPISODE
On the eighth anniversary of his wife and daughter's death, Jane (Simon Baker) receives a message from Red John, causing Jane to lose focus on his current case and put the investigation and his career at the CBI in jeopardy.

Friday, May 11
8 p.m. – UNDERCOVER BOSS – “MasTec” – SEASON FINALE

MasTec CEO Jose Mas works undercover at his infrastructure-construction company.

9 p.m. – GRIMM – “Big Feet” – NEW EPISODE
After Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) stumbles upon a brutal murder, Nick (David Giuntoli) learns the suspected creature (Kenneth Mitchell, GHOST WHISPERER), and friend of Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell), is suffering from a mysterious condition – the inability to completely return to human form. This mysterious condition leads them to a therapist (Roger Bart, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES) who's created an artificial drug to suppress the creature side, with horrifying side effects.

10 p.m. – BLUE BLOODS – “Mother’s Day” – SEASON FINALE
Frank (Tom Selleck) must race to stop a biological weapon attack on New York City, while keeping it a secret from his family during their most sentimental holiday, Mother's Day. Meanwhile, a long-standing conflict between Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Jamie (Will Estes) comes to a head.

Saturday, May 12
7 p.m. – W5 – “Unfair Advantage” and “Gloria”

W5 investigates Canadians who have had their financial well-being shattered at the hand of CRA employees. Then, W5 speaks to iconic feminist, Gloria Steinem.

Sunday, May 13
7 p.m. – ONCE UPON A TIME – “A Land Without Magic” – SEASON FINALE

8 p.m. – DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES – “The People Will Hear” – NEW EPISODE
In the penultimate episode leading into the two-hour finale of this landmark series, Bree (Marcia Cross) begins to fall for her attorney, Trip (Scott Bakula, MEN OF A CERTAIN AGE). Susan (Teri Hatcher) becomes concerned when Julie (Andrea Bowen) doubts Porter's (Charlie Carver) commitment to be a hands-on father to their unborn baby. Meanwhile, the women disapprove of Gaby's (Eva Longoria) nonchalant attitude as Bree continues to stand trial and take the fall for Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) in the murder of Alejandro (Tony Plana).
