Toronto, ON (June 1, 2012) – For Canadian Royal watchers preparing to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee, CTV NEWS is the Canadian destination for Jubilee events, beginning tonight with extensive coverage and special guests. Throughout Jubilee Weekend and leading into National Service of Thanksgiving taking place on Tuesday, June 5, CTV News’ Chief Anchor Lisa LaFlamme is on location in London, England for robust coverage as the Queen marks 60 years on the British throne. In a CTV News Canadian exclusive, LaFlamme sits down with Prince Andrew, Duke of York for an intimate interview at Buckingham Palace as he shares his thoughts on the Queen’s remarkable 60-year reign. The interview with Prince Andrew airs during a special edition of CTV NATIONAL NEWS WITH LISA LAFLAMME at 11 p.m. ET this Sunday, June 3. The following morning, an extended version of Lisa LaFlamme's exclusive interview and tour of the gardens of Buckingham palace can be seen on CANADA AM and on CTVNews.ca.
Special editions of the CTV NATIONAL NEWS will continue from London through Wednesday, June 6 at 11 p.m. ET on CTV.
Rounding out CTV’s Jubilee team joining LaFlamme is London Bureau Chief Tom Kennedy, London Correspondent Ben O’Hara-Byrne, and Ottawa Correspondent Daniele Hamamdjian. Complementing coverage and providing commentary on the proceedings is former advisor to the Royal family, Bonnie Brownlee, along with Royal biographer Christopher Warwick and Royal expert Richard Berthelsen.

Saturday, June 2
CTV News will be on hand at The Epsom Downs Racecourse, where Queen Elizabeth will watch the famed Epsom Derby unfold.
CTV News Channel takes viewers to the Epsom Derby, with live coverage of the event, welcoming an array of special guests in London and in its Toronto studio to uncover the history, the pageantry and the drama of the Derby. With CTV Royal expert Bonnie Brownlee on location in London, some of the guests joining CTV News Channel in studio in Toronto include a famed Canadian jockey in full Epsom regalia; society event expert and Editor-in-Chief of Wedding Bells Magazine, Alison McGill; a former drummer of Her Royal Magesty in formal attire, and an Admiral in full dress whites.
CP24 shares highlights of Jubilee festivities underway across the city of Toronto and across the pond in London, with a look at how people are celebrating the Queen’s 60th anniversary on the throne.
Sunday, June 3
CTV News Channel kicks off at 7 a.m. ET live from the Thames River Boat Pageant, and continues to follow the event throughout the morning.
In addition to its mix of Toronto news, traffic and weather, CP24 offers Torontonians an intimate look at Jubilee events throughout the day, with special guests in its Toronto studio.
At 11 p.m. ET on CTV, CTV NATIONAL NEWS airs its first special edition Jubilee broadcast with Lisa LaFlamme anchoring the newscast live from London, England. Included in the newscast is LaFlamme’s Canadian exclusive interview with Prince Andrew, Duke of York, inside Buckingham Palace, and features LaFlamme taking a walkabout on the Palace grounds with the Duke of York. The newscast shares highlights of the Big Jubilee Lunch event and Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant, delivering Canadians a first-hand look at the Queen, the Duke, and the Royal Family as their flotilla musters down the Thames River.

Also airing on CTV News Channel, CANADA AM features CTV Royal correspondent Christopher Warwick as they follow the Royal family as they gather for the National Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral followed by a lunch at Westminster Hall.
