MuchMusic Celebrates the Return of DEGRASSI with Third Annual Screening Event at Much HQ, July 16

Toronto, ON (July 10, 2012) – Calling all DEGRASSI fans! MuchMusic is celebrating the return of one of its hottest original series with an exclusive under the stars screening of the Season 12 premiere. The third annual screening event takes place Monday, July 16 at Much HQ in downtown Toronto. Much is giving fans a rare chance to get up close and personal with the DEGRASSI stars as they sign autographs, pose for photos and dish out all the juicy behind the scenes deets, leading up to the live screening at 10 p.m. ET. New episodes of DEGRASSI air weeknights, Monday-Thursday at 10 p.m. ETstarting Monday, July 16 on MuchMusic and MuchMusic.com.

Counting down to the main screening event Much goes all-out DEGRASSI with a special, episode of NEW.MUSIC.LIVE., from the parking lot at 6 p.m. ET. Fans who RSVP to the event on muchmusic.com can come down at 4:30 p.m. ET to snag a prime spot in the live audience. At 8 p.m. ET, Much counts down all things DEGRASSI with a special taping of TODAY’S TOP TEN. And delivering the ultimate in fan access, a tell-all Q&A session will stream live from the lot starting at 9 p.m. ET followed by a live stream of the premiere episode at 10 p.m. ET, both on muchmusic.com.

Much VJs Jesse Giddings, Liz Trinnear, Phoebe Dykstra and T-RexXx will be on site chatting with the cast and fans live from the parking lot all night long.

In the DEGRASSI Season 12 premiere, Drew is ready to break-up with Katie for Bianca, but dreads the drama. Clare wants to be with Eli but worries that he doesn’t feel the same way. Plus, complicating life for the crew is the arrival of a dozen hotties, as DEGRASSI welcomes players from a junior hockey team to the school.
